Inspired by my Windstill study and following rediscovery of her old portrait I decided to give Blackhare a makeover as well.

2006 versus 2011

I know there's something wrong with the new versions eyes, I'm still working on that! ;D

Blackhare, Thunderwater Holt ancestor, belongs to ReyesLord.

Haha, this one is also great! Hardly any resemblance anymore. ;)
Again, I do very much like the old one! The new one almost looks like a coal drawing. It looks dark and warm. The short hair is lovely! The picture slightly looks a bit like a historic portrait drawing or an old photo. Pretty cool!

First of all - I really love all your artwork, and I really love her hair in this piece and those large dark eyes.

But since you asked for a level 3 C/C - It seems like her ear is too close to her face (in both pictures.) It should be right and up more, and also angled a bit more, showing more of the fleshy fold of the front and less of the back shell, if that makes sense. (Ears are hard, in my opinion!)

O,o Rather boyish look she has in the one from 2011. Pretty, but boyish.

Most say I like the 2006-one most.

That's not too many years in between, nice to see how much you can learn in such a short time. :) Especially the proportions in the face if one checks where the nose and mouth are now, you seem to handle that a whole lot better (and not to forget the shading of course).
Don't seem to be wrong much with the eyes, but I agree with Jeb on the ear. Now it looks like it's directly attached to her cheekbone, but you actually go "around a corner" there before you come across an ear. ;)
