My submission for the 2009 calendar theme "The Magic of ElfQuest". This piece did not make it into the final selection, but I am mostly happy with it. I went through a lot of ideas and finally decided on Savah's "going out" to resemble the finest of magics in the world. I contrasted the colours with the b/w of the "void" hoping to draw attention to both sides in the long run.
