Ember and Joyleaf

Heres a What-if picture i've been thinking of...What if Joyleaf did Not die at the hands of madcoil? what would it have been like? would ember have someone else to look up to in addition to her father? perhaps soak in some wisdom her grandmother has to offer to make her an even better chieftess

What a great picture.
 There are so many ways things would have been different if Joyleaf had survived and possibly been Chieftess. Some disasters may have been avoided, but yet, I think Cutter may have been able to be even more reckless and headstrong, because someone else was able to worry about the tribe's safety.

hmm....i dunno if she would take place as chieftess after Bearclaw, i think she would feel it was cutter's birthright to take it after bearclaw's death...regardless of how young he was technically he was a teenager...not a child tho...she would probably have tied the lock in his hair and then just remained as advisor and elder....thats just my thoughts tho

I like it too! The poses seem quite natural and you also drew Ember in my favorite outfit.
Maybe Joyleaf would have taught Emebr a lot of things about patience and thinking before acting in addition to Leetah. Hm, I could imagine that Suntop would have loved to Joyleaf as a grandmother. She could have been someone he could identify with easily. |

Awwww, great what-if! I love this picture. It makes me wonder just what Joyleaf is telling her granddaughter here. Something about the sky, perhaps, as she's pointing upwards? At any rate, it looks like Ember is hanging on her every word. So cute!
