Terra & Marut sketches

some Terra and Marut Sketches I did while I was at Luna's place about an year ago... we talked a lot about these two, so of course I got inspired! and these pictures work like a comic, sort of, I have to explain every panel a bit... and yes, it's done with a ballpoint pen, added the numbers in Gimp to make it easier to follow... I'll explain some in the comments too, it's going to be that long...
1. Marut wants to show something to Terra. (you might wonder why Marut is so short compared to her, this is because we weren't quite sure at that time what their height difference would be, and when Terra is in her Human form, Marut is shorter...)
2. when Marut arrives with Terra, a Human has found the deer Marut shot, and Marut is angry because he has to give up Terra's gift, Terra tries to calm him...

3. they go to sleep without anything to eat, but they are pretty used to the situation with the humans so close to them...
4. the next morning they are in the fields, Marut is still upset and Terra tells him that it's ok. (yeah, Terra kisses Marut a lot)... |

5. the Terra spots a rabbit and the hunt begins! (they call that Rabbit Long ear)
6.they chase the rabbit to it's hole... or so they tough, and yes, Terra always looks that mad when she is hunting! her instincts are hyperactive... |

I third the cute bunny.
Love the day in the life illos and it gives us more of an insight to the characters. I'm tempted to try my hand at drawing these two, but I don't know if I could do either of them justice. The one illo that really stands out for me is the second one. It looks less like a sketch and more like a completed comic panel. The detailing in it is wonderful and you can really get a sense of the pair's emotions at the nasty human swiping their kill. |

why thank you, Amberfox! I like to draw drawings, be it sketches or not that show the characters personalities and feelings for one another.. and about the second panel, well, I was a bit more serious when drawing it, serious moments should be drawn more seriously, if someone asks me... and if you want to try drawing them, go ahead! even if it would fail, I personally would be thrilled to see someone drawing them! and if you do so, I'd gladly draw one of your characters for you! and just make things clear Terra is Luna's character, and I bet she'd be thrilled too!..

Well, then, it's settled! I will try my hand at Marut, Terra, and maybe Luna as well (she pops up with these two sometimes, right?). And it makes sense that you would put more work into a serious sketch than a playful one.

ok! it's settled! though it might take some time for me to finish anything decent, yet again I'm busy. yeah, Luna is the person who created Terra, and I asked if it was okay for you to draw her character, and she would like that a lot!

LOL! What a great story that makes! I just love the punchline! *grin* I especially got a kick out of Terra screaming "LONGEAAAAARRR!"

thank ye kindly! yeah, these two really have interesting adventures together, and they just can't get that Longear! they have tried hunting for it many times, with no success!...
