Whee, I finally did it. I decided to take the first elf I ever designed myself. This must have been around 1987 when I was about 10 years old. At that time I didn't know about any Wavedancers (did they even exist back then?), I just figured it would be a lovely idea to have mer-elves. So I made my own tribe of mer-elves in which only the women had fish tails and the men had webbed feet and hands. I really don't remember the reason... Gee, I have no idea what that thing around her neck is, neither what that weird outfit is supposed to be... Also that gemstone? Also, I erased her face so many times that it's hardly visible and the paper is practically not existing at that spot anymore.Anyway, I'm not that happy with the new version either. I'd like to pretend that it's because I'm out of practice. But still an improvement, I think. Sorry for the bad scan quality, btw.

*squeeeel* I'm so happy to see you drawing again! :D

I love that you are all "I have no idea what that thing was supposed to be, but, um, I'll make the best of it!"  You definitely have a knack for fish scales (in addition to hair). For a first foray back into the world of color after you've been inactive for a while, it's a lot better than you probably give yourself credit for. :) I can actually see improvements in some areas over your art from when you were last active in the EQ fan art scene. It's weird, but sometimes the brain makes progress when we don't use it.

Waw, wow! What a difference! Pretty awesome. :D I like it you stuck with that outfit, even though you have no idea what you actually drew in the first place, haha.

Aw, thanks you two. It felt so good to draw again! I tried to keep close to the original design, but also wanted to do some changes. Her pose is so stiff, I just couldn't have taken it over like that. Those square shoulders are just too funny! I also felt that the new version was not quite finished yet and could have continued for hours, but I just don't have the time right now. *sighs* And I always seemed to have a thing for drawing long hair.

Ooh goodness, that's a difference! Your way of drawing... well, basically everything has changed immensely over twenty years. I really like what you did with it, the shadings and colors in the new version look so smooth :)

I love her tail. I wish I could do scales like that. Great job.
