Derro was the second mer-elf I'd ever drawn, and detailing the scales drove me nuts. I have to admit, though, after drawing him, I asked Paul if he'd be interested in hooking this lovely lad up with one of my characters...and he foolishly said yes! Mwahahahahahaha! Someday I'll get around to posting his mate here.

Oh, I'm trying. At the moment, I'm posting some art for Foxeye to look at and help me with. I'm at that phase right now where NOTHING looks right, so hopefully she can help not only find what's wrong but also get me back into the swing of drawing. Meanwhile, I'll post some older stuff and maybe a few newer items. Playing around on this site has helped inspire me...although in some cases, I wonder why I bother when there are so many exceptional artists that make my stuff look pathetic.

Why BOTHER? Because it should be fun for you! I sure enjoy seeing your work, you have such a particular style. What wouldn't I give for your inking skills!
I was drawing basically my whole life and showed the pictures to no one but my family, but that didn't really bother me, because I just loved to draw. Love it still. As long as you still enjoy it, I think it does not matter that much that other people are better. Not that I don't understand that feeling... Looking at some artists here or at Deviant Art I really feel I can't draw at all... But I've decided that this won't stop me. Right now only lack of time stops me. Asking Foxeye for guidance if you want to improve is a good idea, I think. It's great that she offers this kind of assistance. And as I said before: please keep it coming! Eh, sorry for the rambling... |

Man, that tail must have taken ages to draw! I would have cheated with the details! you are made of sterner stuff than me for taking your time with all those details! must say that hies waist and torso are twisting very nicely and I love the shading on the spear end... makes the weapon looks very sturdy!...
