July Celebration

Another oldie (sorry, I'm working on new stuff - really!). Illustration for the month of July in Holt of Grand Illusions' calendar. This one predates the other one by a year. Same rule applied for this as well: at least one character per member with a birthday in that month. So, left to right: Hover (Gina Schroeder), Amberfox (me), Nightmoon (me), Duskfall (Annette Pschirrer), Rigor (Gina Schroeder), and Sunflight (Annette Pschirrer).

You have a very fine job. Such attention to detail! This is amazing))) And there is something unusual (or as can not find the right word) in your pictures ... They captivate )))))

O my god, I think I was at this party in the '70s!
 Seriously, are you my age? Because I remember getting a late 70s LoTR's calendar by the Brothers Hildebrandt and Aragorn looked like a member of the Bee Gees. Your elves have a similar feel. That is not a bad thing, BTW, just unexpected unless you are from my era. |

Ohh, you do very well at coloring! The level of detail in your pictures is always astounding! Must take a very long time, indeed!

After looking this over on my work computer, the colors were really slaughtered, but on my home computer, the colors are still quite vibrant. DARN! The metallic copper and bronze in Nightmoon's hair obviously didn't translate; I used metallic color pencils to do it and it's really bright in the original. Yes, Treefox, this took several days to finish. I had fun with it, though.

Yikes! My elves have a feel of the BEE GEES?! Ewww! Well, not knowing how old you are, I'm not even venturing there. I'm not sure what gives you the vibe: the long flowing hair, facial hair, Amberfox's bellbottoms, Desertmoon's obnoxious checkerboard shirt (not my fault, I swear!)...? If I ever get around to it, just wait until you see my character for Sammy Whitaker's Tailwater Holt! The brown acid is not poisoned!
