"Still Finding Our Place" by Seraphima Chisler (Elftanner)
by Elftanner
When the elves landed they were scared and scattered, when they decided to make the best of it (because they couldn't go back) they decided to find a place for themselves. They still are in the form of Cutter's tribe.
Stranded on a world not our own, struggling to find our place.
Children grown, generations pass, still we are misunderstood.
Have we found our place? With our home of the past, living in the wood?

I think this would have been a great cover if Joselle hadn't been available to draw one this year.

I love how each of the original High Ones are represented by a Wolfrider. Great job.

This must have been quite a lot of work!
Kudos! All characters look so much like themselves! |

I really like how ambitious this is, and you pulled it off very well, I thought. The echoing of the High Ones in the present-day wolfriders was a great idea (it reminds me of that famous pair of panels from the first issue, the segue from the cowering High Ones to the angry Cutter and Skywise -- only on a grander scale).

I love the juxtaposition of the High Ones and the Wolfriders; it almost seems like the generations can just barely reach out to each other before that thin veil of time is pushed back between them.

I think this looks very nice! I love seeing drawings that have many characters in it and I like how they are posed here, High ones and Wolfriders on different sides... wonderful!...
