Lately these two have been awfully close.  Just what's up with these two?  Again, Amberfox is my guy, Bangle is Shannon Menhart's character.

Okay, I hope I'm doing this right; please bear with me...

Thank you for the warm greetings, Foxeye!  I'm a huge - HUGE - fan of your work.  I recently sent you a personal email regarding a couple of questions.  If you have not received it yet, let me know.  I'm still trying to figure this all out.

If you're asking about the illo of Pearlshade reaching out to a seahorse, yes, that was my work.  I did that one for Nightsea way back when we were both members of Shadow Vale Holt.

Thank you, Silberschweif!  I've been lurking about the site for some time, very nervous about posting anything, especially after seeing so much wonderful art.  I finally decided to just take a deep breath and go for it.

Don't be shy about posting your art is wonderful! and after all aren't communities like this about Exploration Expirimentation and the Joy of Creation in the wonderful world of art. and I have to say that I really am most envious of your ining skills I still have a loooong way to go a far as those are concerned but I've been having fun in that area lately trying new things and what not.

Are you kidding, Mischievous_Valkyrie?  Your inking is wonderful!

Well, my hesitation mostly stems from several people over the years giving me a hard time for having characters with really long hair - but I can't help it!  I've also had complaints about my style, and after seeing all the gorgeous art here, I wasn't sure if my art would hold up.  Still, it's great to be out and amongst other EQ fans and get some critiques that will help me improve.

There are definitely places on the internet where people will thoughtlessly tear apart/down artists without a second thought.  Very unpleasant. :)

This, I'm glad to say, is not one of them, thanks to the good example set by the original eqfanart.com and by the community over at elfquest.com.  And if this place ever starts to become like that I'll be knocking heads. ;)

Now getting effective critique...that's always harder. I like to give it, but I err on the side of being cautious. If you are serious about wanting feedback, I suggest reading this post and indicating in your uploads what level you'd like. :) Oh, and how you feel about drawovers. I <3 doing drawovers.

I've never had trouble receiving CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, but I struggle with someone just trying to be a jerk or if they can't really tell me WHY they think what I've done is bad (even an, "I'm not sure what it is, but..." would be better than "'Cause!")

I wasn't sure what drawovers meant - although I suspected - until I saw some of what you've done. Na, no problem with it. Sometimes it works better than just a verbal.

As for the rest of it, I'll send you a personal message.  Thank you!
