I liked the nude version too, but the flowy fabric in this one is amazing! And I love the grumpy shark :D

I agree there's nothing wrong with the nude version, but the gauzy outfit really helps add visual interest.  And you really did a great job on the filmy, gauzy look of the dress - impressive and believable!  The details in the background, the whole environment is alive and welcoming.  Wish I could SCUBA dive there!  Great work on her hands - I'm sure I'm not the only one struggling with that.  She looks so pleased with her work, you can't help but be drawn into the scene.  Another gorgeous piece from Treefox!

Thank you so much! :D Amberfox, this coming from you makes me happy!
And yes, I struggled soooo much with her hands! I originally wanted to this traditionally, but due to my accident I could just lie down, so I did it digitally in the end. There is this function in Adobe Sketch with which you can see a time lapse of your drawing and it shows how many times I erased the hands and tried again... and again....  :P
And it would never have looked like this with traditional media... all that lighting and so many layers of fish and corals...was much easier to do digitally. And yes, drawing all that detail took forever...  :lol

As much as I miss your traditional media work, I do think digital art has made you produce more and it has gifted us with lovely work. Treefox, I just love the hands! I could stare at them all day. Wouldn't mind having them all over me. *chough.*

I like how the fabric shows movement. It does hide away the effect you made to show her magic though, and I relate hard with "why must the person be clothed! I just made the perfect boob or butt or whatever." And man, your background is so detailed! The little fishies. Love the shark.

Goshhhhh the background :love I adore how detailed it is, but how soft it still manages to be without having a telltale fake blur thing going on. There's so many fabulous things going on with the pose and the hair, the fabric,  ahhh. And her expression! I'm amazed that you managed to keep her "sad eyes" look with a happy expression, it works wonderfully!

Yes, this was definitely one of the times I thought her body looked too nice to be covered. ;)
And thanks for the praise on the background. I really didn't cut any corners there. Just listening to nostalgic Edgar Allan Poe on YouTube and taking my time. :)

I'm not sure which of the two I like best, really!
Perhaps it's a good thing no naked boobies were allowed in the printed version, so you didn't have to choose. :D

Interesting, another underwater scene. It seems mer-elves are popular among artists, or is it because it allows a lot more shapes?
Omg, her "dress", it seems to be inspired by Wendy's recent installations. But here, I think it fits a little better, not because such a gown would even be remotely handy for swimming, but because it looks like a giant jellyfish. And this white-silver makes a contrast with her hair and to the coral colours that surround her. Well done!
