Work-in-progress...and sadly on "hiatus" for the time being. Just as I began work on this I got ridiculously busy with my studies and assorted projects. Hopefully someday I'll find time to finish this.

A past chief of Thunderwater Holt Widechest (once known as Tuftcat) was one of the strongest elves to appear in the tribe's history. His lovelife sucked, he spent years pinning for this one maiden who eventually ended up shacking up with someone else, so Widechest started working out his frustration in the gym all day until he was strong enough to throw a buck to the ground

My latest adoption, Flight, who happens to be Sundazzle's brother-in-law. They don't get along too well, she thinks he's a stick in the mud and he thinks she's fluffy airhead
I'm pretty fond of how this sketch turned out; it's still very raw but I think he has that refined, handsome look nevertheless. |

Haka, an ancestor to the Thunderwater Holt splinter tribe the Wanderers - her main function was actually that of a herbal healer, but this particular tribe is so small that everyone simply had to learn to hunt well for them to survive in their raw climate.

Young Mossberry, when she was just barely an adult of the tribe at 17 years old.
I tried starting with the darker colours and shadows this time, it was fun to try another technique and I quite like the outcome. I didn't edit the colours or levels this time, I only resized her hair because her head appeared a tad too big.  Drawn on watercolour paper. |

Blueberry, a flippant Thunderwater Holt elf who unfortunately never made it to life. His mother Mossberry miscarried him within a year of pregnancy.
 I'm really pleased how the colours came out on this one, particularly the hair, which I tried some new techniques on. It DID go through a little fix-me-up in Photoshop though  |

Sehlis, Ba'al & Salem - the very short chief line of the Wandering Tribe at Thunderwater Holt. The small tribe stand out by the fact that the chief is elected by vote, instead of being a title inherited through bloodline.

Lately I've rediscovered the joy of colour markers. I'd still prefer learning to colour with copic markers, but until I can afford a reasonable set of colours and learn how to actually use them then my old Fantasia aquarell markers (with love from the big sister who bought them) will do just nicely.
Character // Mossberry Holt // Thunderwater Holt Mossberry is the eldest amongst the Thunderwater Holt ladies and a well-established winemaker (the third according to tribal history). However, she was once a core part of the hunt and quite skilled in the use of spear and staff. The younger generations tend to forget this, though they can't really be blamed. Some are too young to have ever seen her wield a weapon larger than a skinning knife. But change is just around the corner. |

Half the TWH tribe recently set out on a quest for the High Ones' lost palace. Only they live at the time of the Wolfriders waiting for the Palace to reappear on Thorny Mountain, so their quest will bring them to other destination still unknown to them--and two us, their puppeteers

A fishy version of my character Sundazzle together with Reefedge, a younger elf who's been helplessly in love with her for a while, the poor lad. This was requested by Redshine from the Scroll even though Reefedge has passed onto another owner in the meantime, I still hope she'll enjoy this.
Also, it's become part of my 100 Themes Challenge which I'm basing on Thunderwater Holt and it's characters. |

EDIT: By bimbo I don't mean stupid, just that she comes around a lot Though she is slowly but surely making everyone take her a little more seriously. She's also extremely defensive of her best friend Highdive. |
