2011 Fan Art Calendar: SEPTEMBER
Obviously Moonshade is pregnant and in this case hot and swollen. She decided to strip down and dip her feet in the water and Strongbow being the good mate rubs her aching feet. When I was pregnant this was a moment I cherished.
Recognition struck again, unexpectedly.
My belly grows till I can’t see my toes,
I need help with everything.
My aching feet and this rotten heat, the water feels so good.
My beloved knows how my mood swings go
He’s so patient and quiet and sweet.

I'm actually glad that this is the one picture of yours that made it into the calendar, because I absolutely love how you handled the night colors. Also, this such a pure, tender moment. And we really didn't see much of Moonshade and Strongbow this year.

lol, you can always count on me to draw Strongbow and Moonshade in at least one of my entries. lol I had a hard time with the night colors so I had to fall back to the comics for inspiration. I'm glad they turned out well. I thought people would think they were a little to much like smurfs or something. I really wasn't sure this one would even be considered because of all the talk about prego pics in the beginning. I really thought the one of Rainsong and Woodlock would be the one chosen, if one got chosen that is.

I really liked that you chose to give us this piece of Strongbow and Moonshade being a loving couple.
It's a great intimate, loving moment, but also somehow very "everyday", which I think just emphasizes the bond between them. And no, I don't think they look "smurfy" at all. ;-) The night coloring game out very well.
