Cutter and Holdfast

A little pic of Cutter and his latest wolf Holdfast. I just wanted to draw something with a blue color scheme and lightening. So this came to my mind. JadeOwl from the Scroll described this pic best, I think: This was to be alive...life, like a bolt of skyfire. Short, sharp, and shining.

this is very nice! though the lighting fills the sky, Cutter seems to be more a live than in a long time, sometimes danger makes you feel more alive!... I like all those blue tones you used!...

This is freaking gorgeous! It could have easily have been art from Hidden Years.

Woooow, are you serious? Great comment for one of my less popular pieces. The drawing was way to tiny for me to do it more properly. Cutter anatomy and also Holdfast's aren't that well executed, but I'm really happy with Holdfast's face. :D Overall I had this idea of a wild stormy night and thought that a monochrome pic would be a change for once.

The anatomy is a minor quibble in comparison to the level of technique, mood, and coloration displayed and the innate storytelling it invokes. It's a true illustration, not merely a 'pretty picture'. :)
