Kayel Pinup
Woo, managed to finish this one just in time for holiday travels! This is my husband's elf-self Kayel, the counterpart to the pinup of my elf-self Yereh. Kayel was one of the Go-Backs put into wrapstuff after the invasion of the Sun Village. Once revived and healed he quickl…

Yereh Pinup & makeover
I've had shorter hair for a while, so I decided to give my elf-self a makeover. Wasn't intending to do a calendar-style pinup of Yereh, but one doodle turned into two, and at that point Kael figured I might as well make it a complete set. Old Look: I figure the longer hair…

Cat Hunters
This is an oooold piece that I started in 2008 as a gift for Nowth from the Scroll of Colors. I think it has a lot more potential than what I've done with it (and a lot more messiness and bad anatomy than I'd like!), but I didn't want to let it gather dust for another year! Good enough.

Want!
Drawing for Silentleaf of her elf-self, proving that the fruit is always juicy on the other branch. (Her expression reminds me so much of one of my cats when I get out the bag of cat-treats that the image title was a no-brainer.)

Splotch and Blot
Here's the full version of the new artwork for site. Splotch, of course, you already know. She's lost her ballpoint pen, and replaced it with a small exacto knife and a copic pen. The new guy, blot ("Paint Splotch" vs "Ink Blot" is the logic) is, of course, the storyteller.

"Live..."
For her half of an art trade, Icebird requested either Longfin or Irralee. I decided I wanted to illustrate a scene from the Wavedancer's Lost Tales where Longfin swims her nearly-dead son back to the shore. I'm rather proud of one aspect of this picture...that it's my first time doing night-…

Tide
I have been working on a drawing of Longfin for Icemoon, but when I saw her new Tide, I was inspired to use that character for marker practice. Touched up in Photoshop because several times I grabbed the dark blue marker instead of the pale blue. I'm too impatient. *sigh*

Tynami
I wasn't planning on doing more EQ art for a bit, but then I realized that I could use Tynami's sketch to experiment with a color palette I've been itching to use (it's a very elfquest-ish color palette, and not very suitable to the more realism-focused Jungle Fire). So I snuck in some time here an…

Nightsea
The finished portrait of Nightsea's character by the same name, an elfquest sea-elf in Star Trek's mirror universe. The PADD is a little out of place...I think I drew a next generation variation...but I think we can ignore that. ^_^
Lines done in Autodesk Sketchbook Pro and colors in PS CS4.

Into the Woods - Finished?
Oiy, she was giving me some trouble there for a bit, but...I think I'm "finished". That is to say, now I go work on the website code/layout, and as I stare at her I'll probably find stuff to nit-pick about. But, by and large, I think she's close enough.
c/c 4 is welcome, since this one will be st…

Yereh (elf-self)
Colored version of the one in my Work-in-progress gallery, and same elf-chickie as you see in several other drawings of mine (look for the blue handkerchief ). Her story is only loosely bouncing around my head at the moment, but hopefully one of these days I can jot some of it down. If she lo…

Dreamweaver
A drawing for Dreamweaver of her character. She describes her character:
"she is very kind and generous. She is timid, but emotional and if her family is in trouble, she would fight for them, even though she doesn't know how. She is a mother and will kill for her family. She is a mental healer"

Tyleet
My second attempt at prismacolors, armed with a newly-acquired green! marker. Stilll didn't have the right colors for Tyleet, but we never did see the colors of this outfit from the Recognition story, so, um, call it artistic license.

Nightfall work-in-progress
*sigh* I don't know if I'll ever finish this drawing of Nightfall and Redlance, but the sad thing is that this little WIP is one of the best things I've ever done as fan art for EQ. Keeping it here to remind me to finish this one day.

Leetah
Leetah...doing something that causes her skirt to act in that odd way. Nevermind her hair isn't moving with it. I dun care...I was in it for the shiny.
My favorite Leetah outfit, from book 2, when she went tassle-crazy.

Trueflight
Strongbow's mum. My choice of colors, since we never saw Wendy colors. Being perverse, as I tend to be, I decided to give her silver-gray eyes because that would make her totally not like her son. I like it when elves aren't just little xeroxes of their parents.

Moi pt 2
And the second version of my Elfquest elf-self. Her skin darkened because I decided that in temperment I am most like a jack-wolf rider than any other sort of elf...aka, a wanna-be wolfrider. I indulged myself in some faux-importance and decided that Yereh the jackwolf rider was the offspring of Bow…

Pale-skinned version of my elf-self. And my rare rare foray into non-digital coloring. I only had 4 prismacolor pens to use.

I like to look at the stars too
Newstar, often called the "elfiest of all elves", is a wolf-blooded elf who grew up from a very young age with the immortal and agrarian Sun Villagers. She has become a Sun Villager in every way but for the mortality that her blood brings.
We never saw very much of her, but in one story where she…

If Only...
Story behind this one....hrm, well, artistically it was one of those odd pieces that just grabbed me, made me love it, and wouldn't let go. Though I did get crosseyed about the time I had to do the leaves, so they look a bit like foxeye-shmoo. But I still love this piece.
And why? Well, colors for…

Backstory...my dad liked ElfQuest too. I was muchly-pleased that I had one parent that was able to get into my hobby, so when he asked me if I'd draw *him* as an elf (as I did for myself and my friends), I was delighted. He still has the picture I drew for him up on his bulletin board in his home o…

Never Leave
I love the obscure characters of EQ, the unnamed crowds whose stories we never learn. This character, Windstone, did actually get to have a name. She appeared in the Forevergreen storyline, a sun villager who is also a warrior, so presumably she had been trained by Dart at some point.
Windstone led…

Venka
A thank-you gift for Joselle, and my favorite head-dress among Venka's many headbands. I wish she'd had this one more, but I guess all those beads would have been a #!&@$!@ to keep drawing.
