Umm... does Dad know Ember has New Moon?

Or is that a wooden version Redlance made for her?

A wooden replica :)
It wasn't wooden enough in other words? What would've made it more believable as wooden when it comes to the colouring?

Haha, sooo great! It perfectly pictures their personalities, not only for that moment but also who they eventually became. Love love love pretty Trinket!

I agree, Trinket is my favorite part of this.  How you've drawn her just makes me laugh - it is so her!  Overall this is probably the most Pini-esque of the entries, the characters and style are just spot-on.

I got that the sword was wood.  The only way to have made that even more clear would be to have more blunt tips instead of sharp ones like a metal sword.

Aww! Cute! Each doing what they love best... Very lovely portrayal! Colors are very well chosen, I think.

I loved the combination, here -- how it emphasizes the differences in the places that each one is heading for.  And as always, I love your linework and handling of pose and gesture -- your characters are always so full of life!  Also, particular kudos to Mirr for the coloring; I love how rich and vibrant it is.

I also got that the sword was a wooden replica.  And I know that whether it's plantshaper-made or carved, it's easy to get sharp points like that with wood (although slightly rounded tips probably would drive home the idea that it's a replica).  Maybe the only thing I'd suggest would have been more woodgrain-lines, either with inking, or with the color.

Ah, yes, you can MAKE wood into sharp tips, but who would do it for a TOY sword that kids would play with.  (Yeah, okay the Go-Backs would LOL).

I also like how it shows the personalities of the three very different characters and where their lives will be taking them. That's absolutely perfect for Trinket; I couldn't imagine anything else, but Suntop and Ember are also perfect. As for the sword, showing the grain would've been just that much better to emphasize it was wood, but looking at how the trees in the background were done, I think the lack of grain in the sword is fine.
