Site Squirrely-ness
« on: November 13, 2011, 11:53:42 AM »

Looks like the node our VM was on had problems, hence the problems you've been seeing with the site for the past few hours. They've moved us to a different node and we appear to be back in business. *knock on wood*

Taking a fresh backup as I type this. :P

Don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere,  but...On my computer, the site has been acting "weird" for some time now...  ???  When I load the "art and elfquest" forum page, the writing appears oversized, along with the menu in the top right corner. And the elements of the page are somewhat re-arranged and squewed downwards, so that the entire image of splotch/Blot is visible. (Is that Red Bull and Starbucks they're drinking??  ;D )

Other than the layout on this specific page, everything works fine.
This happens both in firefox and internet explorer.

Yeah, something I did recently mangled the font size and I can't track it down. :(

Regarding the page layout elements...is that happening when you log in as well? I see that when I'm logged out, but only then.

But of course!

Yup, happens when I'm logged in as well.
Everything functions properly though, it's just the layout that's a bit off.

(Oh, and kudos for the mist-covered landscape too. Those colors feel so much like "home" to me. *childhood nostalgia trip*)

Yay for malfunctions that reveal more artistic details! ;D

I knew it, I knew there was something extra hidden down there! :o I caught a glimpse of it once when the site loaded a second slower, and tried to get another look at it ever since to prove I'm not crazy.

FYI, there may be some oddness with image ownership in calendar and challenge albums right now. I'm working on correcting this, but have to take a break to take care of other RL stuff.

If you see any signs of image ownership being incorrect in your personal albums, please PM me!
