I know I was and I still have a lot of the artwork I drew for it on my artwanted.com page. I think I'll repost some....

I participated more when it was still a yahoo group, then refound it towards the end, about a half-year before it fell apart. Wouldn't say I was one of the "old crowd", but I definitely lurked and loved the place.

Where you "catmahathy" there as well?

How far back was "back in the day"? I was definitely putting some stuff up on the previous version of EQFA (previous to this one), as "sgaana" I think, but I imagine it wasn't until 2007 or 2008 or so.

I was wondering what "back in the day" meant as well *lol* I probably was and I believe the same name. My "Silly Snow Fun" was back from 2004 and I had posted that. I have so much art from many years ago.

I would love to see more pieces posted here from everyone!

Eh, I guess that answers that I was at the old site as well. But I've also already been active at Yahoo groups. It's where I first drew Picknose for the beefcake contest. So I'm gonna use that in the "Unforgotten past" challenge here once we're allowed to post our calendar pictures.

Afke, I'm like 90% sure I still have that drawing of Pinvis around here somewhere. Wasn't she the one who had a chark on the front of her shirt and the flipped out hair and I drew her sitting on a tree branch? I need to find all of those... I'll repost everything I can find today, but you can go to artwanted.com/cathrin til then. I remember most of you guys! Mirror, I have a colored copy of that pic of Moonshade on there. Not sure if you did that one or if it was dartfan. He loved to color my drawings ^_^

I actually wonder what happened to Icemoon... I miss her cheerfulness and, of coure, her pencil color art...

Amanda O'Dell ran the previous EQFanart. She disappeared suddenly and noone really knew what became of her :/
Her Elfwood profile: http://eqfanart.elfwood.com/profile.html She mostly drew Strongbow and Moonshade pictures but many of them aren't on her Elfwood.

And yes, Icemoon seems to have disappeared as well. I used to be friends with her on Facebook and she still draws and paints (at least she did a few months ago, she must've deleted me), I think she just lost interest in Elfquest. She might be back though

It's good to know that Icemoon is still somewhere continuing to draw. Losing interest in something is part of life and growing, I guess.

Icemoon has a gallery on DA (I believe her username is Shymind ), but I don't think she's active there any longer. Too bad, I miss her artwork. She was such a sweet person to have around on the site, and her artwork showed incredible progress in a very short time.

She'll be back as a professional artist and have us all green with envy

I'm getting curious what's the average age of members here, by the way. This thread makes me realize that some of us have been around quite a long time - even though I still consider myself somewhat of a newbie, seeing that I joined the old EQfanart just before it closed.

I had Amanda over at Livejournal for a while. Although she hasn't updated in quite a while, after EQfa dying out it seemed she got more into manga judging to her posts. So loss of interest as well I guess.

Yeah, Icemoon disappeared really abruptly. (She was a member at RTH, and was active, and then after the winter holidays became uncontact-able.) A pity. Even if she lost interest, it would've been nice to have a "farewell" message of some sort from her. Ah well.
