Both sides.   Did some updating on her hair style and tried to keep it in Character.

This was an assignment in patience as well as format.  Took out the Wolf Logo that she was leaning on.

Oh, that's a nice creative idea! Love, love, love Rahnee's face!
Even though I am one of the people who never hated Rahnee's hairstyle, I still like what you did with it.
Are you actually using this bookmark?

Hey  there TREEFOX !     I always loved to draw Rahnee, hair and all, but found the hair really hard to sculpt in the early years of my dimensional schooling.  This style came about as a solution that I could sculpt the Pony and braids separate and attach.

I will be getting a  11 x 16  Scanner in August and lessons in September.  So I am waiting to use and laminate it until I can color it and "center" the  ElfQuest - R   banner.   It will be used, and My Holt has asked for copies for various birthdays and holiday gifts.   Gladly given.   Honored to be asked.  And I am not above using them for trade to get some new art work out of Them.   *Wink*     I am only half as good as I am because  They  challenged  Me ;  encouraged me and became my loving friends and second family !

I really like how she is leaning on the second moon. Not only because it looks natural this way, but because it also says a lot about Rahnee's character. She, like her father, walked between elf song and wolf song, and in order to not snap in two, she had to be in now of wolf thought. With her leaning on the second moon, it captures that. Especially with that tired, weary expression.

Or maybe I'm overreading. But seriously, I love the image.

Hell-O   STARTEAR   !       You are Not overreading - in fact you are very observant.     Rahnee is indeed a Elf with more than enough troubles; I would not have wanted the split duty of such a rag-tag mix of Tribemates.

Even though the Wolf Logo was hand drawn in minimalism, I didn't want Warp to have to  'chase it down'  all over the Net.   I already made that mistake once before I found  a small version of the New Fandom Rules.   Truley my Rules are over a decade out of date.   Before we could not draw Cc  (Copyrighted characters) of Warp Graphics.  .   . Just imagine !  -  Except to Star in the  Lodestone - R  (a fan pamphlet) put out by Warp.

FINALLY! No one else seems to remember those days when we weren't allowed to draw cannon characters without a stern warning from the Pinis. Well, if they found out about it, and I knew of several fan artists that got in trouble for it (even though they did not make any money off the illos). Anyway, as always, love the shading, detail, and relaxed sense you give the characters. Whatever pose they may be in, they always seem so natural and fluid. Something I'm working on. I really love the illo at the top where she's leaning on the moon (former logo). I hope you can do something with that negative space without upsetting anyone; I think that would definitely enhance this. The full body illo is lovely, too, but I can't seem to get over the very 80s hairstyle (sort of crimped and triangular to the face).

Wait, are you saying that the Pini's didn't allow people to draw fanart of their characters? Even if it wasn't a comission or art the artist made money of? O.O

I would hate to think Our memories Date us AMBERFOX ! -  It was before the Net. -  Before Computers were more than just a really fancy typewriter.   They made a Club flyer easier, but you still had to tape and re-copy to get a drawing on it !   Our Club was using a typewriter to do our Fanzines for almost two years before someone, I think It was our Chieftess, got a old Computer.   I still remember sitting in the (Copy) store for hours and hours to print out over 35 Fanzines, sort them, staple them, etc.  It was Fun.

Believe it STARTEAR !   That is exactly what I am saying !    But it wasn't just the Pini's - Disney, Warner Bros, Hanna-Barberra, and more;  they all Protected their LOOK and  cartoon characters from being used for profit or over exposure.   It makes sense from a financial point of View.   Disney - R  still does it.   They have laws about putting Their characters up on schools, or in promotions.  Heck.  I still remember when Cartoons were allowed to sell  Beer and Cigarettes ! !   Seems strange doesn't it ?  ?
