Evervale and Halfmoon

Done as a trade for Mist-eyes, who owns Evervale now at RTH. I wanted to do something with her hunting (as I enjoy depicting characters who are seldom seen hunting doing it; Evervale has primarily been seen as a plantshaper), and to show her wolf. We are coming up on the time when the alpha of our wolf-pack will be changing, and Halfmoon is one of two leading contenders to become the next alpha-male.

Aaagh! So wonderful! How happy she seems to see that potential prey. And the wolf, too! I admire how you can give the wolf a certain expression and yet still leave it perfectly wolf-like.
I also love to see real dark woods sometimes. |

I agree with Treefox that the emotions on both wolf and rider are perfect in this. Evervale seems so exhuberant to see her target prey for the evening and Halfmoon looks slightly startled but the sudden movement but all to ready and eager to give chase. That poor hare had better find a deep burrow, and even then I don't think that will save him. I am really drawn to the colors in this, especially in the "players" in the scene; it gives them a sense of movement, light, and three dimensionalism (is that a word?). Beautiful work and I can't wait to see more new material from you!

This is so Clean and Crisp ! I Love the color and movement. It tells a Story all in one panel . Brilliant ! !
