WIP - Wildfire (again)

Alright, I promised that I wouldn't post too many WIP shots of this, but I started over from scratch on this a couple of days ago. I like her face so much better this time, so that was a good decision.
No hair yet, I haven't made proper nDynamic hair in Maya before, and I wanna animate her so that'll take a bit of research.

I'm thinking of dressing her in teal instead of green, but I'm not too sure about it. Thoughts and critiques are as always welcome ^___^

She seems too shiny to me, like she's all made out of metal. Looks good on the jewelry, but not on her skin.
Great job on the proportions though! This is going to be great. :)

Ah yeah, everything is just on a standard shader right now, the shinyness will disappear later on. At the moment it's just a flat colour with some specularity, but I'll paint everything once the model is done ^_^
Thanks, getting the proportions down was my main concern right now!

I absolutely agree on the proportions. It looks marvelous! I for once like seeing these WIPs, why not post a couple? The progress is rather fascinating! I like the color of her clothing, however, I am a fan of red-green contrast, I'd say keep the green. Can't you do both or is that very complicated to do?

The shininess is the kind of shader that is on the model. Once it is rendered, it will look so much different.

You go, Wildfire!

in regards to proportions. Is she a true elf and a High One, or is she many generations removed? If she is generations after the firstcomers, the head needs to be slightly larger than the body. That was one thing that Barry Blair told me when I sent in some sketches back in the early 90's.

Alright Treefox, I'll upload a couple of different WIP renders, then it should look like a million times better than a screengrab as well xD

@Mykal, she's the daughter of Rayek and Ember, shapechanged slightly by Winnowill, so she should be taller than a regularsized Wolfrider/Sunvillager, but shorter than the Wavedancers/High Ones. TBH though I wasn't a fan of how the proportions looked in 3D, so I decided to make her a bit more "proper" human sized. So yeah, not perfect Elfquest proportions, but it's kind of on purpose ^_^

As long as you have the reasoning behind it, it works.  :)
