Our Holt #8: Cade Armot

In the tradition of Mirror and her stunning art, "Our Tribe," I was inspired to do similar. Initially, I was going to group them as Mirror has, but then I got lazy trying to get everyone organized (especially since some do not have heights listed) and complicated because I kept the individual illos large. I also wanted to draw characters that haven't had a lot of time in the spotlight, for the most part. As always, the scanner just doesn't do the colors justice, but at least you can get an idea of what I was going for. I already have about a dozen characters drawn, but I intend to color them all instead of inking them. Takes longer, but I just felt like trying to do it. I hope I've done everyone justice, but if I haven't, let me know and I'll make the corrections. And if anyone would really like to see what I can do with their character(s), contact me. This one gave me even more grief than Mangrove. Cade Armot, Berit's bear blooded sinister PC, has lived up to his reputation. Because the scanner did such a HIDEOUS job on him, I redid the skin tone six times before I got it to a point I was willing to post it. I'm not sure I did the dark skin around his eyes correctly, and if I didn't, let me know, Berit, and I'll correct it. Also wasn't sure about the clothing color scheme, and I took it completely on myself, so if there are any issues, it's all my fault. If it isn't right, maybe this is a previous outfit or one he uses briefly later. Yeah, let's go with that!

Wow! I recognized (no pun, sorry) him from the thumbnail! I guess he could be a bit buffer, but his hair looks great!

At the time I thought I got the "buffness" right, but looking at him now, I agree. Sorry, Berit! I also had NO idea what his clothing and eye colors were, so I just took a stab at it.

WHAAAT!? someone drew Cade! never saw this coming! thank you! thank you so much for this surprise! you really made my day thousands of times better than it was before this! thank you so much!... and about the buffness, well, younger Cade was about this muscle level, so I don't mind! And the coloring on his clothing is eerily right! Cade's eye color is actually grayish, with a hint of pale brown... but I don't mind this version at all! and besides it was my fault for not adding colored version of him here... (I'm always too busy with others characters so I seem to neglect mine in the process)... but Thank you so much!... and may I have the honor of posting this to my other page?...

Hurray! Glad you like him! Since Marut is often in the limelight, I thought I'd try someone else. I'll see what I can do about a more buff Cade. Meanwhile, are the dark eye circles right? I wasn't sure exactly how they looked, again, just gave it a try. His clothing, I couldn't imagine him in anything fancy or bright, and I looked at the drawings you had done of him and thought grey and brown. As for his eyes, I thought bears have a dark amber brown sort of color, so I gave him the same. when I get a chance to redraw him, I'll remember the colorations. And of course you may post this wherever you like!

Cade has quite grayish tone about everything because he is sickly (he has parasites, ones that affect his physique and ones that affect his brains) so he is constantly on the state of a bear that has been awakened from it's slumber during winter... and even if the parasites were removed, he is still more than a tad mad... so yeah, the dark eye circles are a part of him! I actually should do a colored version of him, because I just noticed that there isn't any!... And brown eyes, I actually first gave him dark eyes when I was creating him, but wanted more savage, piercing eyes that go well with bloodshot eye whites... I'm still amused by the fact that you scanner just despised him! and scanners really do suck at times!... I really love these! Thank you so much again!...
