I scrapped this pose idea for the calendar itself....

Both are really effective; he looks ready to swing that sword at something he hates or needs to kill (or both). This has a great sketchy feel to it that I really enjoy. The blue sets off the feeling of cold, and I love the pose. Love that sword, too.
